Соседи констатируют опасную сейсмографическую ситуацию - выбрирующие басовые толчки грозят разнести полквартала. Новый альбом limpbizkit, вопреки ожиданиям, способен и на такой эффект. Хотя в целом он намного легче предыдущего. Тяжелая полоса в жизни Фредди дала о себе знать. Привычные хулиганские факи мазафаки сменились попыткой философствовать и грустными интонациями. К тому же с приходом Майка Смита изменился и известный "фирменный звучок" бискитов. Майк сумел перетянуть одеяло на себя и ввернуть в исходный ню-металл с рэпкором гитарные ретроходы в духе приснопамятных AC/DC. Это выглядит очень забавно: голосовые скрейтчи и протяжные рыки Дёрста - на фоне задорного ностальгического гитарного ритма… То, что музыка станет легче, было вполне предсказуемо. Как известно, в параллельном сольном проекте Фред Дёрст начал играть музыку вроде Duran Duran. Эти настроения высплыли и при записи "Results May Vary" - в виде задушевных баллад а-ля Metallica. Чувствуется, что некоторые треки явно вымученные - они поспешно доведены до ума к сдаче альбома, которого так долго требовали, буквально стуча касками по асфальту, и фанаты, и звукозаписывающая компания. Дёрсту просто пришлось срочно выпустить этот альбом, ведь пока он заседал в студии, на олимп проворно забрались Linkin Park, и уступать место прежнему лидеру они не собираются. Наскоро забив альбом разнообразными треками, Фредди принял выжидающую позицию. Только вот чтобы вернуть господство, нужно базуку на плечо. А не голову под крыло.
